Dickinson State University Recognized as a Five-Star Institution for Champions of Character

Dickinson, ND- Dickinson State University has been recognized as a Five-Star Institution for Champions of Character. The Blue Hawks have been awarded the level of Bronze based on a point system designed by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics. This year the points were awarded on a five-star scorecard. Points are awarded through character driven activities such as: GPA, community service, academic focus, and conduct during competition to name a few.

There are three levels including gold (90-100 points), silver (75-89 points), and bronze (60-74 points). For 2016-2017 there were 66 gold level winners, 76 silver level winners, and 41 bronze level winners. This is an opportunity for the NAIA to recognize those institutions striving to make a difference on the field, court, classroom and community.

Congratulations to the Blue Hawks athletic department, student athletes and Dickinson State University for receiving this prestigious award.
