DICKINSON, N.D. — Dickinson State University was named a 2025-26 NAIA Champions of Character® Gold Five-Star Award winner, earning the highest designation available through the organization's annual Champions of Character Core Report.

The report measures each institution's commitment to the Champions of Character program across five areas: character training, conduct in competition, academic focus, character recognition and character promotion. Institutions can earn up to 100 points, with those scoring at least 60 recognized as Five-Star Champions of Character institutions.

The Gold designation represents the highest scoring tier. Institutions earned points through measures that included strong student-athlete grade-point averages and minimal to no ejections during competition throughout the academic year.

Dickinson State was one of 203 NAIA member institutions recognized as Champions of Character Five-Star Award winners for 2025-26.
