DICKINSON, ND- William Quito of Sir Charles Tupper Secondary School in Vancouver, BC has signed a national letter of intent to play baseball for the Blue Hawks.
Will is a 5'7" switch-hitting outfielder who runs a 6.8 second 60 yard dash. Quito has been named his high school athlete of the year for the past three years.
"Dickinson State has a very competitive program with a strong team culture," stated Quito when asked why he has signed with Blue Hawk Baseball.
Quito also was a member of team Canada when they played in the 2010 Little League World Series.
Will plans to major in Exercise Science at Dickinson State University. He has been on the Principal's List for four years and is an Honor Roll student.
Quito also participated in basketball, volleyball and rugby in high school.
Will is the son of Nimfa and Jigger Quito.
"Will is very quick on the bases and in the outfield," said DSU Head Baseball Coach Jason Watson. "He has the ability to bat from each side of the plate and controls the bat very well in small ball situations. He is a great pick up for the Blue Hawk baseball program."
