LA CROSSE, WI – The Dickinson State University Blue Hawk Men's Basketball team fell to Viterbo University on Saturday night on the campus of Viterbo University in La Crosse, Wisconsin.
The Blue Hawks trailed Viterbo at halftime with a score of 33-37 and the Blue Hawks were outscored by the V-Hawks in the second half with a 33-36 score to lose the contest with a final score of 66-73.
The Blue Hawks were led in the scoring department by junior Marcus White with 19 points. Junior Terrell Butler also scored 13 points for the Blue Hawks. Junior Jerry Shevlin and senior Gilberto Shojgreen led the Blue Hawks with 6 total rebounds each. Senior Reggie Field Jr. led the Blue Hawks with a total of 3 assists for the game.
Viterbo University was led by senior guard Jake Bamke with 21 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists. Junior forward Ethan Haberman also contributed 15 points and 4 rebounds for the V-Hawks in the win.
Dickinson State shot 40 percent from the field, 50 percent from three and 87 percent from the free throw line. The Blue Hawks recorded a total of 36 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 blocks, 7 steals and 14 turnovers.
Viterbo University shot 49 percent from the field, 43 percent from three and 68 percent from the free throw line. The V-Hawks recorded a total of 31 rebounds, 0 blocks, 12 turnovers, 19 assists and 4 steals.

The Blue Hawks are now 10-7 and 4-2 NSAA. The Blue Hawks next home contest will be on Tuesday, January 10th, 2017 as they host non-conference opponent Trinity Bible College at 7:30p.m. (MDT) in Scott Gymnasium.
