DICKINSON, ND- The Dickinson State University Men's Basketball team defeated the Waldorf University Warriors 73-67 on Thursday night in a NSAA Quarterfinal game.
The Blue Hawks took a 37-36 lead into halftime then outscored the Warriors 36-31 in the second half to win 73-67.
Dickinson State shot 43 percent from the field, 0/6 from three and 83 percent from the line in the first half while Waldorf shot 50 percent from the field, 33 percent from three and 83 percent from the line.
Michael Morgan led the Warriors with 22 points and 14 rebounds while Kaden Verdin finished with 14 points.
The Blue Hawks finished the game shooting 42 percent from the field, 11 percent from three and 67 percent from the line while the Warriors shot 42 percent from the field, 25 percent from three and 78 percent from the line.
Dickinson State finished with 40 rebounds, 6 assists, 9 turnovers, 4 blocks and 7 steals.
Waldorf University finished with 41 rebounds, 12 assists, 15 turnovers, 6 blocks and 4 steals.
The Warriors finish their season with an overall record of 11-19 and 7-9 in NSAA play.
The Blue Hawks are now 21-10 and will host the University of Jamestown on Saturday at 3:00 PM (MDT) in a NSAA Semifinals game. The winner will then play on Monday in the NSAA Championship game.
