The team began the evening with 10-9 victory from Matthew Hruby. The true freshman battled tightly with the MSUN opponent, with a riding time point was able to come away with the narrow win.
Sophomore, Gresh Jones, continued the hot start for the Blue Hawks. Jones jumped out to a 12-0 lead in the first period of his match and cruised to an 18-2 victory.
From there, the MSUN Lights took over the matchup. Other than an open 157-pound slot, the Lights controlled the Blue Hawks and cruised to a steady 30-14 win.
In the second dual, the Blue Hawks saw success in the lower weights again. Jones wrestled his second match of the evening and it ended similar to his first. Jones jumped out strong in the early periods and cruised to a 15-0 victory.
Jamie Mullins, at 141-pounds, took the mat for the first time of the evening and battled to a 6-3 match win. From there the Minot Beaver took control of the competition. The Beavers finished the evening up with a 28-8 win over the Blue Hawks.
