Jimmies Beat Blue Hawks in Four Sets

DICKINSON, ND- The Dickinson State University Volleyball team dropped a NSAA match to the University of Jamestown in four sets Wednesday night at Dickinson High School.

The Jimmies won the first set 25-23 while the Blue Hawks won the second set 27-25. UJ came back to win the third set 25-19 followed by the fourth and final set 25-17.

Dickinson State falls to 9-15 overall and 5-5 in NSAA play while the Jimmies climb to 18-8 overall and 8-1 in NSAA play.

The Blue Hawks finished the match with 45 kills, 43 assists, 73 digs and nine team blocks. The Jimmies finished with match with 58 kills, 52 assists, 75 digs and nine team blocks.

Danielle Boyette led the Blue Hawks with 12 kills, recorded 18 assists and finished with 19 digs. Keera Stookey tallied 21 assists while Shaylee Singleton and Alli Hert each recorded 12 digs.

Morgan Hensch led the Jimmies with 14 kills, Aubrey Beaumont finished with 25 assists and Nicole Warren recorded 30 digs in the Jimmie win.

The Blue Hawks now hit the road on Friday and Saturday as they face Waldorf University on Friday at 6:00 PM (MDT) in Forest City, IA and Viterbo University on Saturday at 12:00 PM (MDT) in La Crosse, WI.
