MADISON, S.D. – The North Star Athletic Association announced its sixth edition of the Cross Country Runner-of-the-Week honors by the conference office Tuesday. Amanda Wolff of Dickinson State (N.D.) was chosen as Women's Runner-of-the-Week. Nic Ganzeveld of Waldorf (Iowa) was selected as Men's Runner-of-the-Week.
NSAA Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week
Amanda Wolff – Dickinson State (N.D.) – Sophomore – Glasgow, Mont. – Wolff had a career day for Dickinson State (N.D.) at the Jimmie Invitational. She finished fifth overall out of 63 runners and was the top North Star runner in the 5K race. She led the Blue Hawk women to a third place overall as a team. Wolff's time of 19 minutes, 4 seconds was a new personal record for 5K.
NSAA Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week
Nic Ganzeveld – Waldorf (Iowa) – Junior – Fort Dodge, Iowa – Ganzeveld led Waldorf (Iowa) to its second-ever team title in the Fighting Bee Invitational. He placed third out of 132 runners in the 8K race, clocking a time of 26 minutes and 8 seconds. Ganzeveld broke the Warriors' school record for an 8K race by 56 sconds.
Viterbo (Wis.) is slated to run in the Wisconsin Private College Championships on Saturday in Kenosha, Wis.
