"DSU and the Cross Country team felt like family and DSU is like a home away from home," stated Falcon.
Her highest finish of 46th place was at the 2014 UHSAA 5A State Cross Country Championships in 2015. She led her cross country team to 2015 UHSAA 5A Region 3 Cross Country Team Championship and her personal records include 5k (XC)- 20:24, 1600- 5:42, 3200- 12:23.
Falcon is a Honor Roll student with a 3.5 GPA and is undecided on her major at Dickinson State University.
Julia is the daughter of Fred and Tania Falcon.
"It's very exciting to sign our second female distance recruit for 2017 and our first recruit from Utah," said DSU Head Cross Country Coach Ben Shroyer. "When Julia initially reached out to me about Dickinson State and we visited over the telephone about what she was looking for in an institution of higher education, I knew Dickinson was the perfect place for her. She came out for a visit in October and really meshed well with our team. Julia will add depth to our team and is someone who daily strives to be the best she can be. I saw that drive and commitment in her, which will translate to a successful collegiate career. We are excited to have Julia join the Blue Hawk family next fall."
