DICKINSON, N.D. - Dickinson State opened its two-dual home stand with a 29-20 win over Bismarck State College, earning key points in the middle and upper weights and sealing the dual with a dramatic finish at 138 pounds.

The dual began with DSU forfeiting at 103, giving BSC the early lead. Dickinson State answered quickly at 110 pounds, where Jenna Gerhardt delivered a lightning-fast fall in 57 seconds to tie the score. With Bismarck State open at 117, Mikayla Jardine added six uncontested points to swing the momentum to the Blue Hawks.

At 124, Jazmine Turner was locked in a competitive matchup before being caught in a fall at 2:31, briefly pushing the Mystics back in front. Bismarck State extended that lead again at 131 as McKenzie Shaw was stopped by fall in 1:04.

The turning point of the dual came at 138 pounds, where Kaytlin McAnelly delivered one of the most exciting performances of the season. Trailing late and wrestling with urgency, McAnelly scored in the final seconds to flip the match and secure a dramatic fall at 5:50. Her finish ignited the DSU bench and swung the dual back toward the Blue Hawks for good.

Savannah Brehm followed with a forfeit win at 145, widening the margin. At 160, Olivia Anderson was pinned in 43 seconds, giving BSC its final scoring opportunity of the night.

Dickinson State closed out the dual with forfeits at 180 and 207, where Bridgette Price and Isabella Urias collected the final points needed to secure the 29-20 team victory.

After the match, head coach Tyson Springer praised the team's effort, highlighting the significance of McAnelly's performance.

"Always good to get a w at home! and was great see Kaytlin McAnelly come up clutch with a pin at the very end of her match," Springer said.
