Blue Hawks Earn Top Finishes at U-Mary Senior Open

Bismarck, N.D. - Despite competing with a limited roster, the Blue Hawks made their presence felt at the U-Mary Senior Open, as both the men's and women's teams secured third-place finishes, highlighted by several top-three individual performances.

Leading the way for the Blue Hawk women, Kaitlyn McColly captured the 100-meter hurdles title with a time of 14.05 seconds, hitting the NAIA "B" qualifying standard. She also added a fourth-place finish in the high jump, clearing 1.53 meters. Taylynd Stuhr contributed with a third-place mark in the high jump, matching McColly's height but edging her on attempts.

On the track, Mia Handran placed second in the 400 meters (1:00.92), while Morgan Aune finished third in the same event at 1:03.87. Loli Jarrett earned a third-place finish in the women's 800 meters, clocking in at 2:32.01.

On the men's side, Hudson Atkinson claimed victory in the 800 meters with a 1:57.94 finish. Freshman Maximus Kadrmas also performed well, winning the 110-meter hurdles in 16.20 seconds and taking third in the 400-meter hurdles at 56.83.

Blue Hawk Track and Field heads back to Bismarck, N.D., for the U-Mary Tune-Up on Wednesday, April 30. This event marks the final opportunity for the Blue Hawks to compete before the NSAA Conference Championships.
