All 17 Dickinson State Teams Earn NAIA Scholar Team Honors

DICKINSON, N.D. – Academic achievement continues to be a hallmark of Blue Hawk Athletics, as all 17 of Dickinson State University's NAIA athletic programs have earned 2024–25 NAIA Scholar Team honors. The Scholar Team distinction is awarded to programs that post a minimum 3.0 team GPA on a 4.0 scale, as calculated by the nominating institution. With this year's recognition, 100 percent of Dickinson State's eligible teams met or exceeded that academic benchmark, a department record.

"This is a significant achievement and a proud moment for Dickinson State," said President Scott Molander. "For all 17 teams to earn NAIA Scholar Team recognition speaks to the remarkable dedication of our student-athletes, the guidance of our coaches, and the university's strong commitment to academic and athletic excellence. It is a clear reflection of the Blue Hawk tradition of hard work, pride, and purpose."

DSU Athletic Director Pete Stanton echoed the sentiment, commending the collective commitment of the department: "We are very proud of our teams for this well-deserved honor. Our athletic department and all programs strive to be the best on the court or field, in the classroom, and in our community. This is a great example of our teams getting it done in a positive way. Congrats to our coaches and athletes on this outstanding achievement."
