MINOT, N.D.- The Blue Hawk women's wrestling team earned a 28-19 road victory over Minot State University on Sunday afternoon, securing a balanced dual win highlighted by strong performances throughout the lineup.
The dual opened at 103 pounds with a forfeit to Minot State, giving the Beavers an early advantage. Dickinson State responded immediately at 110, where Jenna Gerhardt delivered a technical fall to put the Blue Hawks on the board and swing momentum early. At 117, Mikayla Jardine collected six points via forfeit, extending DSU's lead. Jazmine Turner followed at 124 with a quick pin at 1:07, pushing the Blue Hawks further in front and setting the tone through the lower and middle weights.
Jumoke Adekoye continued the surge at 131 pounds with a dominant technical fall at 2:04, adding another 10 points and giving Dickinson State firm control of the dual. Minot State answered back at 138 and 145 with back to back bonus wins to narrow the gap. At 160, Lacoda Kiser delivered a key response for the Blue Hawks, securing a fall at 1:02 to halt the Beavers' momentum and keep DSU in front entering the upper weights. Minot State earned points at 180, trimming the deficit heading into the final bout. Isabella Urias sealed the dual at 207 pounds, earning a fall at 2:41 to clinch the 28-19 team victory for Dickinson State.
The win marks another strong regional result for the Blue Hawks as they continue through the heart of their dual schedule, showcasing depth across the lineup and the ability to capitalize on scoring opportunities away from home.
