DICKINSON, N.D. — Dickinson State senior Caleb Sarsland was named the Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week following his runner-up finish at the Blazing Tiger NAIA Classic.
Sarsland completed the 8-kilometer race in 24 minutes, 35.3 seconds, placing second overall in a field of 412 runners.
The Bowman, North Dakota, native has put together a consistent stretch late in his senior season. His runner-up finish came after he won the Yellowjacket/Battlin' Bears Open on Oct. 9, completing the 8K in 24:37 and finishing first among 105 runners.
Sarsland has now earned Frontier Conference Runner of the Week honors following each of those performances. His latest recognition is his fourth weekly conference honor of the season and seventh of his career.
