Tyson Springer

Spinger was named the first women's wrestling coach in Dickinson State History prior to the 2023-24 season and in his first year he led the team to a 5-1 record in dual meets and sent the program's first ever national qualifier to the NAIA Women's Wrestling Championships. Previously, he was the Head Men's Wrestling Coach at Doane University, Hastings College, and Ellsworth Community College, and he worked as an assistant coach at both Dickinson State University and North Idaho Junior College. His coaching tenure has seen the development of several NAIA All-Americans and one Junior College National Champion.
 
Springer has had a distinguished career both as a wrestler and a coach. During his high school years, he was a 4-time Washington State Placer, a 3-time State Finalist, and ultimately became a State Champion, boasting an impressive 138-8 overall record. His amateur wrestling accolades include being crowned the Asic Fargo Cadet National Champion. At the college level, he earned the status of 3-time All-American, was a 2-time NAIA National Finalist, and clinched the title of NAIA National Champion.Springer currently resides in Dickinson with his wife, Mckenzie, and four children: Brody (18), Kade (11), Gentry (4), and Boston (2).
