DICKINSON, N.D. – The Dickinson State University (DSU) men's basketball team is set to host the Sam Milanovich Classic this weekend from Scott Gym. The Blue Hawks welcome three National Intercollegiate Athletic Association (NAIA) teams in Dakota Wesleyan University (Mitchell, South Dakota), Rocky Mountain College (Billings, Montana), and University of Montana – Western (Dillon, Montana). The round-robin Classic will feature two games per game over the next two days.

Scouting University of Montana – Western
- The Bulldogs hold a 7-3 record on the year with wins over Yellowstone Christian (109-51, 108-51), Walla Walla University (88-65, 86-37), Corban University (73-64), Multnomah (79-70), and Dickinson State (82-59).
- As a team, the Bulldogs are averaging 81.4 points, 36.4 boards, 17 assists, and 8.1 steals per game, while holding their opponents to a low 61.7 points. Through ten games, UMW is shooting 46.1 from the floor, 37.9 from the arc, and 64.8 from the foul line.

Scouting Rocky Mountain College –
- The Battlin' Bears are 2-3 on the year with their only wins coming against Yellowstone Christian (108-79, 99-65). Notably, the Bears fell 60-63 to No. 24 College of Idaho earlier last month.
- As a squad, the Bears are averaging 79.2 points, 37.8 boards and 12.6 assists per game, while shooting 43.9 from the floor, 28.5 from range, and 66.2 from the line.
- RMC has four players in double figure scoring in Abdul Bah (12.8), Jesse Owens (12.7), Maxin Stephens (12.2), and Tayshawn Bradford (11.4). Defensively, Stephens leads the team in boards with 40, while Cade Tyson has dished out a team-high 14 assists.
