HOMECOMING: Dickinson State finally returns home after three straight road games, all victories, as they take on Dakota State University in the 2023 Homecoming Game … the Blue Hawks are riding a four game win streak and are now 4-1 on the season … the Blue Hawks continue to climb up the rankings and will most likely need to win the rest of their games to clinch a spot in the NAIA Opening Round … after this week's contest, DSU will circle back around and take on each NSAA opponent one more time to round out the regular season … the schedule does fall favorably for Dickinson State, as their remaining home games are against Waldorf and Valley City State while their road games will be at Mayville State and Dakota State

THE SERIES...
vs DaSU: DSU leads 23-2
Last: DSU 27-7 / Streak: DSU 9
Notes: Dickinson State has dominated the matchup between the teams, winning 23 of the 25 games … the last Dakota State win came in 2015, when the Trojans won 54-21 in Madison

SCOUTING THE TROJANS: Dakota State comes into the week with an 0-5 overall record .. the Trojans have been limited offensively, averaging just 9 points on 257 yards of total offense per game … their defense has kept them in most contests, allowing just 23 points per game on 350 yards of total offense … their last two games, against VCSU and MSU, were low scoring affairs, with neither team scoring more than 14 points
