HOME OPENER: The Blue Hawks look to get their first win of the year as North Star Athletic Association plays kicks off in week 2 … with the loss of Iowa Wesleyan and Presentation College, the NSAA has gone to an 8 game conference schedule, with all teams playing a home-and-home series … DSU is looking to kick off their eighth consecutive title defense at home on Saturday … QB Will Madler and WR Noah Sickler proved to be a dynamic duo in the Blue Hawks' week one loss at Rocky Mountain, combining on 10 catches for 165 yards and 2 touchdowns, look for this duo to do more damage early against Mayville State … note that the game time has been moved up to 12 pm MDT due to weather concerns on Saturday

THE SERIES...
vs MSU: DSU leads 63-18-2
Last: DSU 58-7 (11/05/22 in Mayville) / Streak: DSU 15
Notes: The Blue Hawks have dominated the in-state rivalry over the last decade, with the last MSU win coming in 2011…Over the last 15 games, Dickinson State has won by an average of 40 points…Dickinson State's 79 points against the Comets in 2019 are a school record

SCOUTING THE COMETS: Mayville State was picked to finish last in the five-team NSAA by the league coaches … the Comets were held scoreless in a week one loss to Montana State-Northern on the road as they fell 14-0 … look for MSU to do most of their damage through the air after finishing last week with just 12 rushing yards on 24 attempts
