BACK IN ACTION: The Blue Hawks return to NSAA action with a trip to Forest City, Iowa for a matchup with Waldorf University … the Blue Hawks look to come back fresh and ready to go after a bye week last week … the last time DSU was in action was two weeks ago when the Blue Hawks went on the road to NCAA D3 Wisconsin-Stout and defeated the Blue Devils, 24-21 … with the announcement this week that Waldorf will join the Great Plains Athletic Conference next year, this could be the Blue Hawks last trip to Forest City
THE SERIES...
vs WU: DSU leads 9-1 (4-1 in Forest City)
Last: DSU 50-7 / Streak: DSU 5
Notes: The Blue Hawks lone loss in the series came in 2018 when Waldorf won 23-22 in Forest City … since that date, the Blue Hawks have won five straight, including two dominating wins the last two years, 48-7 and 50-7
SCOUTING THE WARRIORS: Waldorf is 3-1 on the season, including 2-0 in the North Star, after consecutive conference wins over Dakota State (35-20) and Mayville State (56-34)… the Warriors have scored at least 35 points in each of their three wins, but were held to just seven in their lone loss at #14 St. Francis (Ill.) … WU has a relatively balanced offense, gaining 415 yards per game with 231 coming through the air and 184 coming on the ground … expect a high scoring affair when Waldorf is involved, with their offense averaging 33 points per game, but their defense is allowing 34 points per contest
