SAM MILANOVICH CLASSIC
Dickinson State returns home to host the 2024 Sam Milanovich Classic this week as they take on Frontier Conference opponents, Rocky Mountain and Montana State-Northern. The games mark the first home contests for the Blue Hawks since they swept Montana Tech and Montana Western October 24-25 to open the season. The Blue Hawks look to snap a three-game losing streak, all against Frontier Conference teams, this week. DSU is 2-0 in Scott Gym this year and just 1-4 on the road.
THE SERIES
vs RMC: RMC leads 17-12, 10-5 in Dickinson
Last: RMC 81-53 (12/30/23 in Billings) / Streak: RMC 12
Notes: RMC has won 12 straight games between the teams, with the last DSU win coming in 2016 when the Blue Hawks won 65-64 in Billings.
vs MSUN: MSUN leads 17-6, series tied 5-5 in Dickinson
Last: MSUN 76-58 (11/18/24 in Havre) / Streak: MSUN 1
Notes: The Skylights snapped a three-game losing streak in the series with a 76-58 win in Havre last week. DSU has won the last three games in Dickinson and have not lost to MSUN at home since 2017.
LAST TIME OUT
DSU dropped a pair of exhibition games to NCAA opponents in Division I North Dakota and Division II Mary before falling, 76-58, to Montana State-Northern on Monday. The Blue Hawks have not played since Monday the 18th so they look to be rested and ready to defend home court this week.
