SEASON CONTINUES:
Dickinson State returns home looking to get back on track as it hosts Dakota State for Homecoming at the Henry Biesiot Activities Center. The Blue Hawks (2-3, 0-1 Frontier East) dropped a 34–32 triple-overtime heartbreaker at Mayville State last weekend despite a standout effort from running back
Jackson Simonson, who totaled 163 all-purpose yards and four touchdowns. Quarterback
Jace Friesz threw for 186 yards and two scores, while
Adrien Calderon added 51 receiving yards and a two-point conversion. On defense,
Riley Waters and
Shel Osborne led the way with nine tackles each, and
Chase Selle recorded an interception. Dakota State (3-2, 0-1 Frontier East) enters the matchup looking to end a 14-game skid against the Blue Hawks.
100 YEARS OF BLUE HAWK FOOTBALL:
Dickinson State University continues its celebration of a century of Blue Hawk Football during Homecoming weekend. Established in 1925, the program has built a proud legacy defined by toughness, tradition, and community — capturing 32 conference championships and over 500 all-time wins across 100 seasons. From Harry Wienbergen's first title in 1951 to the dynasties led by Hank Biesiot and
Pete Stanton, DSU's century-long story reflects generations of student-athletes and coaches who have shaped the Blue Hawk identity. Saturday's game marks another chapter in that historic journey as Dickinson State honors 100 years of pride, tradition, and brotherhood.
