DICKINSON, N.D. — Dickinson State struggled to keep pace with #17 Rocky Mountain College on Saturday evening, falling 77-56 in Frontier Conference play at Scott Gymnasium.

The Blue Hawks (2-4, 0-2 Frontier) shot 40 percent from the field and committed seven turnovers, but were outscored in each quarter as the Battlin' Bears (3-1, 2-1) controlled the tempo throughout.

Rocky Mountain opened with a 22-14 edge in the first quarter and extended its lead to 45-31 at halftime, fueled by 61.5% shooting in the opening frame and 69.2% in the second. Dickinson State's closest push came early in the second quarter when Jada Clarkson scored back-to-back buckets in the paint to cut the deficit to nine, but Rocky responded with a 7-2 run to regain separation.

Clarkson finished with 9 points on 4-of-4 shooting and added two rebounds and one assist. Senior Kyrie Alldredge came off the bench to lead Dickinson State with 12 points, going 8-for-8 from the free throw line. Kaylin Garza, Brae Eneboe and Clarkson each contributed 9 points, with Garza adding four rebounds and four assists.

The Blue Hawks had a solid showing at the line, converting 14 of 15 free throws (93.3%), but struggled from beyond the arc, hitting just 2-of-11 (18.2%). DSU was also outrebounded 34-22 and gave up 10 points off turnovers.
