Blue Hawks Cruise Past Tabor in Fairfield Inn & Suites Downtown Classic

BELLEVUE, Neb. — Dickinson State turned in a complete performance on both ends of the floor Saturday, defeating Tabor College 72-50 in the Fairfield Inn & Suites Downtown Classic hosted by Bellevue University. The Blue Hawks improved to 2-2 on the season with the wire-to-wire victory.

Kyrie Alldredge paced DSU with a game-high 18 points on 7-of-12 shooting, including a pair of three-pointers, and added six rebounds. Brae Eneboe contributed 11 points and seven boards, while Jada Clarkson added eight points and a steal.

The Blue Hawks led 17-8 after the first quarter and never allowed Tabor back into the game. A 9-0 run in the third quarter helped extend the lead, and DSU pulled away with a 23-point final frame. All 14 players saw the court, with 12 registering points.

"I thought we defended at a really high level today," head coach Eric Nelson said. "Everyone was on the same page and we rebounded well. It was a great team win and we got everyone involved and put a full 40 minutes together."

Dickinson State forced 15 turnovers and turned them into 21 points while out-rebounding the Bluejays 41-24. The Blue Hawks scored 48 points in the paint and added 14 second-chance points. Off the bench, Makena Hauge provided eight points and seven rebounds, and Celicia Enos and Dylan Stedillie chipped in three points each.

Defensively, the Blue Hawks held Tabor to 34.7 percent shooting and just three made three-pointers. DSU also recorded 11 steals and four blocks, with Hailey Contreras collecting three steals and three assists. Brooke Berlin added eight points, two rebounds, a block and a steal.

Tabor (2-3) was led by Landry O'Brien's nine points. Abby Proctor scored seven, and Berlin added eight off the bench.
