Brennan, Dahlgren Sweep Frontier Conference Field Athlete of the Week Honors

DICKINSON, N.D. –  Dickinson State University track and field standouts Faith Sulivan-Brennan and Dylan Dahlgren have been named the Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Indoor Field Athletes of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday.

This marks the second consecutive weekly honor for Dahlgren, a senior from Soldotna, Alaska, while Brennan, a junior from Kalispell, Montana, earns the award for the first time in her career.

Dahlgren Dominates in Throws

Competing at the NCAA Division II University of Mary Alumni Open, Dahlgren delivered another strong showing in the throws. He posted a mark of 15.76 meters (51 feet, 8.5 inches) in the shot put, finishing second overall and solidifying the top spot in the Frontier Conference. His performance ranks No. 10 nationally in the NAIA.

Dahlgren also captured the weight throw title with a toss of 18.45 meters (60 feet, 6.5 inches), surpassing the NAIA 'B' provisional qualifying standard. That mark currently ranks second in the nation and leads all Frontier Conference competitors.

Brennan Sets School Record, National Leaderboard

Brennan highlighted her weekend with a record-breaking performance in the triple jump, leaping 12.28 meters (40 feet, 3.5 inches) to win the event and eclipse the NAIA 'A' automatic qualifying standard. Her jump not only set a new school record but currently leads all NAIA athletes in the event.

She also recorded a personal best in the 60-meter dash prelims with a time of 7.93 seconds before finishing at 8.03 seconds in the final.

Both Blue Hawk athletes continue to lead the charge for Dickinson State's indoor campaign, with national rankings and qualifying marks that position them among the NAIA's elite.

Dickinson State returns to action in January following the holiday break.
