DICKINSON, N.D. – Dickinson State University senior throwers Kori Nagel and Dylan Dahlgren have been named the Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Indoor Field Athletes of the Week, as announced by the league office on Tuesday. The pair earned the honors following standout performances at the NCAA Division II Mike Thorson Classic & Multi, the Blue Hawks' opening meet of the 2025-26 indoor season.

Nagel, a senior from Center, N.D., was named the Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week after a dominant showing in both the weight throw and shot put. She won both events and posted NAIA 'A' automatic qualifying marks in each. Nagel threw 18.65 meters (61 feet, 2.25 inches) to win the weight throw and 15.10 meters (49 feet, 6.5 inches) in the shot put. As of Tuesday, she leads the NAIA in both events.

Dahlgren, a senior from Soldotna, Alaska, claimed the Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week honor after capturing the weight throw title with a mark of 17.97 meters (58 feet, 11.5 inches), hitting the NAIA 'B' provisional qualifying standard. He currently leads the Frontier Conference in the event and ranks third in the NAIA. Dahlgren also placed third in the shot put with a throw of 15.40 meters (50 feet, 6.25 inches), which ranks second in the league and seventh nationally.

Both Nagel and Dahlgren earned their first career Frontier Conference weekly honors.

"Fantastic opener for both of these athletes," said DSU head coach Shayne Wittkopp. "Their hard work paid off this week. Putting things together this early in the season is exciting to see. Kori and Dylan both work incredibly hard and are fantastic teammates. They deserve all the credit in the world."
