DICKINSON, N.D. - The Dickinson State University women's wrestling team returns to Scott Gym on Wednesday night to host the University of Jamestown Jimmies in a 6 p.m. dual that also serves as Senior Night for the Blue Hawks. Fans in attendance will have the opportunity to pick up Blue Hawk foam fingers while supplies last as Dickinson State recognizes its senior class prior to the start of competition.
Dickinson State enters the matchup receiving votes nationally and ranked sixth in the conference. The Blue Hawks have continued to build consistency through the second half of the season while preparing for postseason competition later this month.
Wednesday's dual will include recognition of seniors Jenna Gerhardt and Mikayla Jardine, both of whom have played key roles in the growth and competitiveness of the program after transferring to Dickinson State. Gerhardt is a two-time NAIA National Tournament qualifier and two-time team captain who has been ranked inside the national top 20 for four consecutive seasons, reaching as high as No. 8 during the current year. She carries a 30-14 career record with the Blue Hawks and is currently ranked 12th nationally and sixth in the conference at 110 pounds.
Gerhardt posted an 19-11 record during the 2024–25 season, highlighted by a 2-2 finish at the NAIA National Championships, and has followed that with an 11-3 mark during the 2025–26 campaign. Along with her success on the mat, she has earned consistent Dean's List honors and was named to the President's List during the Fall 2025 semester. Gerhardt will graduate in May with a bachelor's degree in business with an emphasis in human resource management and plans to return to Dickinson in the fall to begin her master's degree in sports administration and athletic leadership while serving as a graduate assistant coach for the program.
Jardine enters Senior Night as a team captain, three-year starter, and one of the original members of the Dickinson State women's wrestling program. She owns a 40-23 career record and is currently ranked 15th nationally and seventh in the conference at 117 pounds. Jardine has produced a 19-5 record during the 2025–26 season, highlighted by an undefeated performance at the Battle of the Rockies, a co-championship finish at the Beaver Bash Open, and a 2-1 showing at the NWCA National Duals.
Known for her toughness and consistency, Jardine has been a steady presence in the lineup since the program's inception. She plans to remain involved with the team next season as a student assistant coach while completing her degree, before returning home following graduation to begin her nursing career.
Dickinson State features several ranked and conference-tested competitors throughout the lineup, led by Jumoke Adekoye at 131 pounds. Adekoye enters the week ranked third nationally and first in the conference, while the Blue Hawks also carry conference-ranked wrestlers at multiple weights across the lineup.
Jamestown enters the dual unranked as a team and without ranked individuals but brings recent dual competition into the matchup. The Jimmies are led by head coach Tony DeAnda, who is in his seventh overall season guiding the program. Jamestown most recently competed Sunday at Minot State, falling 37-6, with its lone victory coming at 180 pounds.
The Blue Hawks hold a 3-1 advantage over the past four meetings between the programs, including a 33-16 road victory earlier this season in Jamestown. Wednesday's contest marks the final regular-season home appearance for Dickinson State as the Blue Hawks look to close Senior Night with a strong performance in front of their home crowd.
