DICKINSON, N.D. — Dickinson State's season ended Friday with a 7-5, 10-inning loss to Dakota State in a loser-out game at the Frontier Conference Baseball Postseason Tournament.
The Blue Hawks finished 25-25.
Dickinson State had 13 hits, led by Luis Rodriguez, who went 3 for 4 with two doubles, an RBI and a run. Ty Farwell, Moses Dokes, Jace Buchanan and Jadyn Roberts each had two hits. Roberts homered in the fourth.
DSU trailed 2-0 before scoring three runs in the third. Farwell drove in Rodriguez, Wyatt Wilharm brought in Sawyer Bryner, and Buchanan singled home Dokes to give the Blue Hawks a 3-2 lead.
Roberts extended the lead to 4-2 with a solo home run in the fourth. After Dakota State scored in the sixth, Rodriguez doubled in Kadin Finders to make it 5-3.
Dakota State tied the game with single runs in the seventh and eighth, then scored twice in the 10th on Cameron Kittridge's two-run single.
Tate Williams started for Dickinson State and allowed four runs, three earned, on four hits in seven innings. Trent Chavez took the loss in relief.
