Lijewski Named NAIA Second Team All-American

DICKINSON, N.D. — Dickinson State senior catcher Brooke Lijewski has been named a 2026 NAIA Softball Second Team All-American, the national office announced. The honor caps a standout senior season and two-year Blue Hawk career for one of the top offensive players in the NAIA.

Lijewski, a Casper, Wyo., native, put together a dominant 2026 campaign, batting .424 while starting all 56 games behind the plate for Dickinson State. She finished the season with 73 hits, 18 doubles, 11 home runs, 64 RBIs, 30 runs scored, a .733 slugging percentage and a .485 on-base percentage.

Her production helped lead Dickinson State throughout a historic season that included Frontier Conference regular-season and tournament titles and a trip to the NAIA Opening Round. Lijewski was also named Frontier Conference Player of the Year, First Team All-Conference, Frontier Conference Gold Glove and earned a spot on the Frontier Conference All-Tournament Team earlier this spring. She was also named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team.

Across two seasons with the Blue Hawks, Lijewski appeared in 96 games with 94 starts and posted a .406 career batting average. She totaled 121 hits, 29 doubles, four triples, 16 home runs and 107 RBIs while compiling a .691 slugging percentage and .455 on-base percentage.

Lijewski's All-American selection adds to an impressive senior resume and marks one of the top national honors for the Dickinson State softball program.

"Brooke's recognition as a Second Team NAIA All-American is a well-deserved honor and a reflection of the tremendous work she has put into her game," head coach Kristen Fleury said. "What makes this achievement even more special is the way she competes with confidence, toughness, and a team-first mindset. Brooke has been a cornerstone of our program, and her impact extends far beyond the statistics. She has represented our team, university, and community with class throughout her career. I am incredibly proud of her accomplishments and grateful for everything she has contributed to our program."
