Dickinson State University

Chris Kistler, a native of Worden, Montana, is entering his first season as linebackers coach at Dickinson State University. A former standout for the Blue Hawks, Kistler brings championship experience, leadership, and a strong understanding of the program’s defensive identity to the coaching staff.

Kistler played outside linebacker for DSU from 2020 to 2024, helping lead the Blue Hawks to five consecutive NSAA conference championships and five straight NAIA playoff appearances. During his playing career, Dickinson State went an undefeated 41–0 in conference play and secured two NAIA playoff victories. Kistler was a key contributor to a defense consistently ranked among the top in the NAIA.

He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science with a concentration in Sports Management, as well as a Master’s degree in Sports Administration and Leadership from Dickinson State University.
