Hayden Gibson is entering his 5th season on the Blue Hawk coaching staff. During his four years of coaching, he helped Dickinson State secure their 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th straight conference championship. In his first two years, he coached the running backs and helped three different players receive all-conference honors. In the past two years, he has been coaching the wide receivers and helped Noah Sickler achieve two 1st team all-conference honors with three others receiving 2nd team awards. Last year, Noah Sickler was the Offensive Conference Player of the Year.

Originally, from Bismarck, ND, Gibson attended Dickinson State from 2015 until his graduation in 2020. He received his Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and received a minor in coaching. He received his master’s two years later in Education with a focus in Educational Athletic Leadership. Hayden started at quarterback for the Blue Hawks for four seasons and helped his team win five straight conference championships. During those four years, he was elected team captain 3 different seasons. He also broke career and season school records for passing yards, passing touchdowns, and total yards. He was also awarded with national player of the week honors during his senior season, throwing for 524 yards in a single game.
