Bryant Merry is in his fourth season as an assistant coach with the Dickinson State softball program. A Dickinson, North Dakota, native, Merry works primarily with the Blue Hawk outfielders and hitters while assisting with player development and day-to-day operations.

Before joining Dickinson State, Merry spent one season as an assistant baseball coach at West Fargo Sheyenne, helping the program capture a state championship. He also served as head coach of the 16U and 18U Dickinson Diamonds summer baseball program.

Merry earned a bachelor’s degree in sport management from North Dakota State University in 2023 and a master’s degree in sport administration with an emphasis in athletic leadership from Dickinson State in 2026.

In addition to his coaching responsibilities, Merry serves as head athletic groundskeeper for the Sanford Sports Complex and Biesiot Activities Center and assists with building maintenance at the facilities.

Merry lists his younger sister, Myah, as his favorite athlete to watch.
