KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Dickinson State senior Mikayla Jardine has been named the Heart of America Athletic Conference Women's Wrestler of the Week, announced Monday by the league office.

Jardine posted a 4-0 record at the Battle of the Rockies to earn a share of the 117-pound title, splitting the championship with teammate Jazmine Turner. Her run included a key semifinal win over No. 11-ranked Julia Daus to secure her place in the finals.

"Great to see Mikayla's hard work paying off her senior year," said Blue Hawk head coach Tyson Springer. "She's a team captain and a great leader in our room."

The Heart's weekly wrestling honors are presented by Musco Lighting.
