Blue Hawk Men Picked Seventh in Frontier Preseason Cross Country Coaches’ Poll

DICKINSON, N.D. — Dickinson State Men's Cross Country was selected seventh in the Frontier Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll with 54 points. Carroll topped the ranking with 98 points and eight first-place votes, followed by Rocky Mountain (87), Bellevue (79) and Montana Tech (70). Dakota State (64) and Bismarck State (57) were fifth and sixth, respectively.

The 2025 campaign is the first under head coach Dr. Thomas Schwartz, who was hired this summer to guide the Blue Hawks. The Frontier also expands to 11 cross country programs this fall with the addition of Bellevue, Bismarck State, Dakota State, Dickinson State and Valley City State.

"The DSU Men's Cross-Country team returns an NAIA Nationals qualifier (Caleb Sarsland), other solid returnees from last year's team, and three first-year freshmen who add firepower for competing in the esteemed Frontier Conference level. 'Start Fast, Stay Fast' is their motto," said first-year head coach Dr. Thomas Schwartz.
