BUTTE, Mont. – Dickinson State fell to Montana Tech 79-50 Friday evening in Frontier Conference action at Valley Bank Arena, as the Orediggers used a dominant second quarter to pull away.

DSU (6-15, 4-13 Frontier) trailed by just two after the opening 10 minutes but was outscored 25-10 in the second quarter, allowing Montana Tech (17-4, 13-4) to take control of the game.

Brae Eneboe chipped in eight points and three rebounds, going a perfect 4-for-4 at the free-throw line.

The Blue Hawks shot 37.8 percent from the field and 47.1 percent (8-of-17) from beyond the arc but committed 27 turnovers, which Montana Tech converted into 30 points. DSU was also outscored 18-3 in second-chance opportunities and 48-14 in the paint.

After a competitive first quarter that saw the Blue Hawks briefly lead by four, Montana Tech capitalized on Dickinson State's turnovers and defensive lapses to open a double-digit lead before halftime. The Orediggers extended that advantage to 26 by the end of the third quarter.

Montana Tech had four players in double figures, led by Halle Haber and Liv Wangerin with 12 points apiece. Wangerin added three steals and two assists, while Haber pulled down a game-high eight rebounds. The Orediggers finished with 43 rebounds to Dickinson State's 29 and tallied 21 steals on the night.
