FORT DODGE, Iowa – The DSU rodeo teams capped off their fall season in championship fashion at the Iowa Central Community College Triton Stampede, held Oct. 10–11 in Fort Dodge, Iowa. The Blue Hawk women's team claimed the team title, while multiple Blue Hawks posted standout performances across the weekend's events.
Hume Leads the Way with All-Around Honors
Sophomore
Jenna Hume delivered a dominant performance, earning Reserve All-Around Cowgirl honors behind wins and consistent placings across two events. Hume captured the Breakaway Roping Average Championship, finishing 2nd in the long round and 1st in the short round. She also added valuable points in Goat Tying, where she placed 6th in both rounds and 6th in the average, helping push the Blue Hawks to the top of the women's standings.
Rotenberger and Maher Shine in Goat Tying
Molly Rotenberger continued her strong fall campaign by winning the long round in goat tying, finishing 5th in the short round and 3rd in the average. Teammate
Maci Maher added a 2nd-place long-round finish, giving DSU three athletes inside the top six overall in the event.
Bronc and Bull Riders Add Key Points
The Blue Hawk men once again made their presence felt in the roughstock events.
Brody Froelich placed 3rd in both the long round and average in Saddle Bronc Riding, while
Tayson Jones claimed the Short Go championship, adding another buckle to his stellar season. In Bull Riding,
Eli Higa led the way early with a 1st-place long round finish and 3rd in the average, continuing his consistency through the fall circuit.
Fall Season Recap
The ICC Triton Stampede marked the conclusion of the 2025 fall rodeo season for Dickinson State. Across five competitions, DSU had multiple event wins, all-around awards, and a women's team championship to close the semester.
