Dickinson State Football Welcomes Khalil Paden as New Wide Receivers Coach

Dickinson, N.D. - Dickinson State University is proud to announce the addition of Khalil Paden as the new Wide Receivers Coach for the Blue Hawk football program. Paden brings a wealth of experience as both a player and a coach, with over six years of professional football experience and nearly a decade of coaching at the high school and collegiate levels, including three seasons at the NCAA Division I level. His expertise at the wide receiver position and track record of player development make him a valuable addition to the Blue Hawks' offensive staff.

A former standout at Northern Arizona University, Paden earned All-Conference honors in 2011, leading the Lumberjacks in receptions, receiving yards, and touchdowns. He went on to enjoy a successful professional career in both the Arena Football League and the Canadian Football League, highlighted by a Grey Cup championship with the Ottawa Redblacks in 2016.

As a coach, Paden has mentored All-Americans and record-setting receivers at Bryant University, while also helping to elevate multiple high school programs into championship contenders. Known for his energy, attention to detail, and player-first approach, Paden is dedicated to continuing Dickinson State's tradition of excellence.

Coach Pete Stanton: "We are excited to add Khalil to our program as our wide receivers coach. His playing and coaching experience at multiple levels will be a great asset. We believe he'll be an excellent fit, and our players will really enjoy working with him. We look forward to welcoming him next month."

Khalil Paden: "I'm grateful to join one of the top programs and coaching staffs in the NAIA, who have built a culture of success on and off the field. I look forward to the opportunity to continue developing players and helping them reach their full potential."

Paden will take over for Hayden Gibson, who spent the past decade with the Blue Hawks as both a player and coach. Gibson has accepted a new role as an assistant coach at Kansas State University.

Coach Stanton: "We thank Hayden for everything he has done for Blue Hawk football. He has been a cornerstone of our program for the last 10 years. His knowledge, dedication, and loyalty have been immeasurable. We will miss him greatly but are excited for his new opportunity at Kansas State."
