Dickinson, N.D. – Dickinson State senior Ellia Soydara has been named the Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Women's Golfer of the Week, the league office announced Wednesday.

Soydara, a native of Fergus Falls, Minn., earned runner-up honors at the Valley City State Invitational held in Bismarck/Mandan, N.D. She carded a 76 in the opening round and followed with a 79 in the second round, finishing with a two-day total of 155. Her performance helped lead the Blue Hawks to the team title at the event.

This marks Soydara's first career Frontier Conference weekly honor.

"Ellia played two completely different courses exceptionally well," head coach Thadd O'Donnell said. "Her understanding of course management was evident throughout both rounds. Putting together two strong performances on consecutive days is no easy feat, and her play was instrumental in our team's tournament win."
