HELENA, Mont. — Senior thrower Kori Nagel of Dickinson State University was named the Frontier Conference Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday in its eighth and final weekly release of the 2025-26 season.
A native of Center, North Dakota, Nagel delivered a dominant performance at the NCAA Division I South Dakota State Indoor Classic, capturing two event titles against a field that included Division I competition.
Nagel won the shot put with a throw of 15.33 meters (50 feet, 3 1/2 inches). She also shared the weight throw title with a mark of 18.31 meters (60 feet, 1 inch).
Both performances met the NAIA "A" automatic national qualifying standards. Nagel had already secured automatic marks earlier this season and currently leads the NAIA in the weight throw at 19.18 meters (62 feet, 11 1/4 inches). She ranks second nationally in the shot put with a top mark of 15.35 meters (50 feet, 4 1/2 inches).
The weekly honor marks the third of Nagel's career from the Frontier Conference and caps a regular season in which she has consistently ranked among the NAIA's top performers in the throwing events.
