Kori Nagel Named USTFCCCA Women’s Field Athlete of the Year for third time

DICKINSON, N.D. - The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) has named Dickinson State University senior Kori Nagel the Women's Field Athlete of the Year for the Midwest Region, marking the third time in her career she has earned the prestigious honor.

Nagel has put together a historic indoor season, highlighted by a national-leading mark in the weight throw of 19.40 meters (63-7¾). That personal record not only tops the NAIA performance list this season but also ranks 10th all-time in NAIA history.

She has also excelled in the shot put, where she currently ranks second nationally with a throw of 15.40 meters (50-6¼). That mark places her 10th on the NAIA all-time performer list, further cementing her place among the association's elite throwers.

"Kori has had an incredible indoor season," said head coach Shayne Wittkopp. "She works very hard to put herself in this position. It's great to see her rewarded this way!"

This latest regional honor underscores Nagel's sustained excellence and consistency at the highest level. A three-time USTFCCCA Midwest Region Women's Field Athlete of the Year, she continues to elevate the standard for Dickinson State track and field while building one of the most accomplished resumes in program history.
