HELENA, Mont. – Frontier Conference officials announced Monday that Dickinson State University senior catcher Brooke Lijewski has been named the Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Softball Player of the Week.

A native of Casper, Wyo., Lijewski earned the honor after a dominant performance at the plate, leading the Blue Hawks to a 6-0 record in conference play. She went 15-for-21 on the week, posting a .714 batting average with five doubles, one home run, and 12 RBIs.

Lijewski recorded multiple hits in all six contests and compiled a 1.809 OPS, including a .714 on-base percentage and a 1.095 slugging percentage.

Defensively, Lijewski was flawless behind the plate, registering a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage with 15 total chances, including 14 putouts and one assist.

"It's great to see Brooke have a breakout week," head coach Kristen Fleury said. "She's put in a lot of work, and it was rewarding to see that translate into success. She played a key role in our team's performance throughout the week."

The weekly honor marks the first of Lijewski's career.
