DICKINSON, N.D. – Two Dickinson State University baseball players were named to the 2026 Frontier Conference Baseball All-Tournament Team, the conference announced Tuesday following the four-day postseason tournament held April 30-May 3 at Dakota Community Bank and Trust Ballpark.
Representing the Blue Hawks on the all-tournament team were pitcher Mason Lunzman and senior shortstop Luis Rodriguez.
Rodriguez led the Blue Hawks offensively during the tournament, hitting .583 over three games with seven hits, five runs scored, two doubles, one home run, three RBIs, one walk, and one stolen base. He also posted a .643 on-base percentage and 1.000 slugging percentage, finishing with 12 total bases and a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage.
Lunzman delivered a strong start on the mound for Dickinson State, throwing a complete game against Valley City State. He worked 8.0 innings, allowing two earned runs on nine hits with six strikeouts and just one walk, finishing the tournament with a 2.25 ERA and 1.25 WHIP.
Dickinson State went 1-2 in the tournament, opening with a 14-4 win over Bismarck State before falling to Valley City State, 2-0, and Dakota State, 7-5. As a team, the Blue Hawks hit .298 with 19 runs, 28 hits, four doubles, four home runs, and 17 RBIs.
