DICKINSON, N.D. — Dickinson State senior Caleb Sarsland was named the Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week following a seventh-place finish at the Augustana Twilight Invitational.

Sarsland, a Bowman, N.D., native, completed the 5-kilometer race in 14 minutes, 49 seconds Friday night at Yankton Trail Park in Sioux Falls, S.D. He finished seventh overall in a field of 479 runners.

The Blue Hawk senior was the top finisher outside of NCAA Division I competition. The six runners who finished ahead of Sarsland represented NCAA Division I programs South Dakota and South Dakota State.

The performance came in Dickinson State's season-opening meet and followed Sarsland's All-America finish at the 2025 NAIA Men's Cross Country National Championships, where he placed ninth.

The weekly honor is the fourth Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Player of the Week award of Sarsland's career.

Dickinson State returns to competition Friday, Sept. 11, at the Marauders Invitational in Bismarck, N.D.
