LAST TIME OUT
Dickinson State opened its fall slate with back-to-back home doubleheaders, earning splits against Mayville State and Valley City State to move to 2-2. The Blue Hawks dropped tight openers in both matchups before responding with high-powered wins in the nightcaps.
Against Mayville State, DSU fell 8-7 despite 10 hits and a late rally, then bounced back with a 12-9 victory behind
Moses Dokes' eight-RBI performance, including a grand slam. In the Valley City State series, the Blue Hawks fell 6-3 in Game 1, hurt by errors and missed opportunities, but surged to a 7-4 win in Game 2 behind
Ty Farwell's grand slam and strong relief pitching.
Across the four games, DSU showed offensive depth with standout performances from Dokes, Farwell, Buchanan, and Roberts, while the bullpen and baserunning delivered late in both wins.

HEAD COACH – MICHAEL DAHL
Michael Dahl is entering his seventh year as head coach of Dickinson State baseball. In 2025, he guided the Blue Hawks to a historic milestone — the program's first-ever NAIA National Tournament appearance.
Since taking over in 2020, Dahl has overseen steady growth, producing 18 All-Conference selections, a Gold Glove recipient, and 38 NSAA Scholar-Athletes. His teams have reached the conference tournament consistently, highlighted by a 21–31 mark in 2024 that included a .500 record in NSAA play and a runner-up finish in the league tournament.
Overall, Dahl owns a career record of 136–185, including 91 wins at DSU. A program builder, he continues to emphasize player development, competitive consistency, and academic excellence as the Blue Hawks prepare for another year of progress.Â
