DICKINSON, N.D — Dickinson State Women's Golf was slotted fourth in the Frontier Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll with 31 points. Rocky Mountain led the ranking with 46 points, followed by Bellevue (42) and Montana Tech (37). Carroll placed fifth (28), with Valley City State (15), Providence (14) and Mayville State (11) rounding out the list.
Coaches were not permitted to vote for their own teams; ballots awarded seven points for first place and descended by one point per position.
"We're excited about the Frontier Conference—it's a highly competitive league for golf. Between the men's and women's sides, four teams made the national tournament. Golf is such a mental-toughness game, and if our young players gain the confidence to put two rounds together, we'll be in the thick of things," said head coach
Thadd O'Donnell.
