DICKINSON, N.D. – Dickinson State University throwers Kori Nagel and Dylan Dahlgren have been named the Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Indoor Field Athletes of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday.
The senior duo swept the weekly field honors following dominant performances at the NCAA Division II University of Mary Marauders Indoor Opener. The recognition marks the fourth installment of the 2025-26 Frontier Conference weekly awards for men's and women's indoor track & field.
Nagel, a senior from Center, N.D., delivered a record-breaking performance in the throwing ring. She captured event titles in both the weight throw and shot put, setting a new school record in the weight throw with a mark of 19.08 meters (62 feet, 7.25 inches). That throw currently ranks No. 1 in the NAIA.
In the shot put, Nagel recorded a toss of 14.90 meters (48 feet, 10.75 inches), hitting an NAIA 'A' automatic qualifying standard. This is her second career Frontier Conference Indoor Field Athlete of the Week award.
Dahlgren, a senior from Soldotna, Alaska, also had a standout meet for the Blue Hawks. He broke the school record in the weight throw with a toss of 19.24 meters (63 feet, 1.5 inches), an NAIA 'A' automatic qualifying mark and the No. 2 throw in the NAIA as of Tuesday.
Dahlgren added a personal best in the shot put with a winning mark of 15.89 meters (52 feet, 1.75 inches), giving him two event titles on the weekend. The honor marks his third career Frontier Conference Indoor Field Athlete of the Week selection.
"Kori and Dylan have both had a fantastic start to the season," said DSU Head Coach Shayne Wittkopp. "They've been working incredibly hard in practice, so it's exciting to see it pay off for them in the throwing ring."
