Orange City, Iowa - Dickinson State delivered a strong two-day performance at the Northwestern Cheer & Dance Invite, highlighted by a first-place finish in Saturday's competition and a runner-up overall average.
The weekend featured two separate competitions, with final awards determined by combined average scores. On Friday, the Blue Hawks opened with an 85.68, placing second behind Northwestern (90.90) and just ahead of Doane (84.97).
Dickinson State elevated its performance Saturday, posting a meet-best 94.05 to claim first place for the day. The score marked an improvement of more than eight points and stood as the highest single-day total of the event. Northwestern followed at 90.52, with Doane third at 84.95.
The Blue Hawks' two-day average of 89.87 secured second place overall, narrowly behind Northwestern's 90.71.
With clean execution and strong adjustments between performances, Dickinson State showcased growth and momentum as the season continues.
