DICKINSON, N.D. - Dickinson State swept the sixth installment of the 2025-26 Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Baseball Players of the Week honors, the conference office announced Monday. Blue Hawks Mason Lunzman was named Pitcher of the Week, while Luis Rodriguez earned Player of the Week recognition.
Dickinson State went 4-0 during the week, highlighted by dominant performances on the mound and at the plate.
Mason Lunzman, Frontier Conference Pitcher of the Week
Lunzman turned in a dominant outing in Dickinson State's 16-0 victory over Maine-Fort Kent, throwing a complete-game shutout in the seven-inning contest.
He allowed just two hits, both infield singles, while striking out eight batters. The performance helped lead the Blue Hawks to a decisive victory while showcasing Lunzman's command and efficiency on the mound.
"Mason was locked in from start to finish," head coach Michael Dahl said. "He showed a lot of focus and competitiveness. It was a great performance by him and fun to watch."
Luis Rodriguez, Frontier Conference Player of the Week
Rodriguez powered Dickinson State's offense during the Blue Hawks' undefeated week, recording at least one hit in all four games.
He went 6-for-14 at the plate, a .429 batting average, with three home runs and 12 RBIs. Rodriguez also posted a 1.214 slugging percentage with three home runs, a triple and two singles, while adding a .556 on-base percentage.
"Luis had a great week of hitting," head coach Michael Dahl said. "I would say he finally got back to trusting his approach and swing. He had a lot of hard hits, extra base hits, and drove in a lot of runs in some big moments."
