Dickinson State baseball places eight on All-Conference teams, Lunzman earns first-team and Gold Glove honors

DICKINSON, N.D. — Dickinson State University baseball was well represented in the 2026 Frontier Conference postseason awards, with eight Blue Hawks earning All-Conference recognition, highlighted by pitcher Mason Lunzman's first-team selection and Gold Glove honor.

Lunzman was named to the Frontier Conference First Team as a starting pitcher after a standout season on the mound for DSU. He also secured a spot on the conference Gold Glove Team, recognizing his defensive excellence.

Senior shortstop Luis Rodriguez joined Lunzman on the First Team, while the Blue Hawks added five Second Team selections. Junior catcher Ty Farwell, junior third baseman Ramon Teran, junior outfielder Jaden Salazar, sophomore outfielder Jadyn Roberts and junior relief pitcher Trent Chavez each earned second-team honors.

Dickinson State's Moses Dokes was also recognized as the Blue Hawks' All-Conference Honorable Mention recipient while Cooper VanLuchene was named the Dickinson State Champion of Character.

In total, Dickinson State placed eight student-athletes on the All-Conference list, showcasing the program's depth and success during the 2026 campaign.

Bellevue led the conference with 13 All-Conference selections and swept several major postseason awards, including Player of the Year (Carter Claerhout), Newcomer of the Year (Oak Held), Coach of the Year (Duane Monlux) and Assistant Coach of the Year (Mitch Schmidt). Valley City State's Connor Martin earned Pitcher of the Year, while Dakota State's Ryland Carroll was named Freshman of the Year.

The Blue Hawks, seeded third in the Frontier Conference Tournament, are set to open postseason play Thursday at Dakota Community Bank and Trust Ballpark in Dickinson. DSU will face sixth-seeded Bismarck State in first-round action.
