DICKINSON, N.D.— Dickinson State Men's Golf was projected fourth in the Frontier Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll with 31 points. Rocky Mountain earned the top spot with 46 points, just ahead of Bellevue (41), with Montana Tech third (38). Carroll was fifth (27), followed by Mayville State (18), Providence (13) and Valley City State (10).
Coaches were not permitted to vote for their own teams; ballots awarded seven points for first place and descended by one point per position.
"We're excited about the Frontier Conference—it's a highly competitive league for golf. Between the men's and women's sides, four teams made the national tournament. Golf demands mental toughness, and if our young players gain the confidence to put three rounds together, we'll be right in the thick of things," said head coach
Thadd O'Donnell.
