DETROIT LAKES, Minn. — Brooklyn Materi finished ninth to lead the Dickinson State women, while Griffin Zimmer tied for 14th and carded a 1-under 71 to pace the Blue Hawk men at the Frontier Conference Meet, which concluded Tuesday at Wildflower Golf Course at Fair Hills Resort.
Dickinson State's women finished fifth at 110-over after rounds of 50-over and 60-over in the two-day event. The Blue Hawk men placed eighth at 92-over across three rounds, posting team scores of 43-over, 22-over and 27-over.
Materi led Dickinson State throughout the women's competition and closed with the Blue Hawks' lowest women's round of the tournament. The senior followed an opening 82 with an 80 Tuesday to finish ninth at 162 (+18).

Kiaralynn Weidinger was Dickinson State's second finisher, tying for 16th at 171 (+27) after rounds of 84 and 87. Cheyenne Jacobs followed in a tie for 21st at 176 (+32), while Camille Poncin placed 24th at 182 (+38).
Addie Robbins and Izzabella Weber each lowered their scores in Tuesday's final round. Robbins improved five strokes with a 92 to finish 29th at 189 (+45), while Weber made a six-stroke improvement with a 93 and tied for 30th at 192 (+48).
On the men's side, Zimmer responded to an opening-round 82 with Dickinson State's low round of the tournament. The freshman fired a 1-under 71 in Monday's second round, an 11-stroke improvement, before closing with a 75 Tuesday. He finished tied for 14th at 228 (+12).

Sam Lewton finished 27th at 237 (+21), with his best round coming Monday afternoon when he shot a 75. Brady Collins followed in 30th at 240 (+24) and improved in each trip around Wildflower, going from an 82 in the opening round to an 80 in Round 2 and a 78 in Tuesday's final round.
Henry Maughan finished 42nd at 253 (+37), Maddax Johnsen tied for 43rd at 254 (+38) and Emersyn Lee placed 46th at 257 (+41).
Dickinson State's strongest men's team round came Monday afternoon at 22-over, a 21-stroke improvement from the opening round. The Blue Hawks closed with a 27-over final round Tuesday to finish the 54-hole tournament at 92-over.
The Frontier Conference Meet was Dickinson State's third tournament of the fall. Materi has led the Blue Hawk women individually in each of the first three events, finishing fourth at the NDGA College Meet, second at the Dickinson State Fall Invitational and ninth this week. Zimmer has also paced the Dickinson State men in all three tournaments, placing third in each of the first two events before tying for 14th at Wildflower.
The Blue Hawks return to competition Sept. 28-29 at the Rocky Mountain College Invitational in Billings, Montana.
